SFX Survives Electric Zoo Weekend
SFX Entertainment appears to have survived the Sept. 4-6 weekend of Electric Zoo in New York City, despite reports that vendors put the EDM Godzilla on a cash-only account basis in the wake of financial chaos in the front office.
However, Electric Zoo was downsized this year, with fewer stages, performers and schedules, according to the New York Times, which reports there were 85 acts rather than the 100 or more in the lineup annually since 2011.
That didn’t seem to bother ticketbuyers, as the festival reported 80,000 attendance, according to the Times. The Chemical Bros., Above & Beyond, and Alesso headlined the event, which took place on Randall’s Island.
