Jeff Castelaz Leaving Elektra
Elektra Records President Jeff Castelaz has resigned to focus exclusively on the growth of his company, Cast Management, and charitable endeavors.
“Running Elektra Records has been a dream come true,” Castelaz said. “Being part of Atlantic Records Group, I’ve learned so much from Craig and Julie, and will forever count them as business mentors and friends.
One of the lessons I’ve learned from them is to follow my heart – and in my heart, it’s clear to me that I can contribute most significantly by working directly with artists in a managerial role, which is why I’m choosing to focus solely on Cast.”
Cast Management, based in Los Angeles, counts Dropkick Murphys and producers and songwriters including Justin Meldal-Johnsen and Tony Hoffer among its clients. Castelaz also plans to spend more time raising money for his pediatric cancer charity, The Pablove Foundation.
