The morning of the onsale, the Ticketmaster site was reportedly flooded with requests for the November iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE shows, and many fans came up empty-handed. But some of the lucky few who managed to purchase tickets later raised complaints on Today FM’s “Anton Savage Show”  after realizing they’d been assigned student tickets, which require showing a student ID the night of the concert.

One couple in their 50s said there was no way they could use the tickets. Others claimed they’d selected a standing option but were given student tickets instead.

A Ticketmaster representative told the Irish Times the company looked into the issue and attributed the problem to consumers’ unfamiliarity during the booking process rather than an error on TM’s side.

“These tickets were not assigned to them – they would have had to make clearly identified choices,” the spokesperson said, adding the company was working to resolve outstanding issues.
