Man Charged In Bogus Ronson Gig
A Perth, Australia, man was charged with a number of fraud counts over a fake gig for UK DJ and producer Mark Ronson.

He allegedly misrepresented himself to the Matisse Beach Club in Perth by claiming he could arrange for Ronson to headline its July 24 Winter Funk Fest, and received an advance. But, that night Ronson was on the other side of the country, headlining the Splendour In Grass festival in Byron Bay.
Ronson became aware of the fake appearance and warned followers it was “complete BS” and urged them to get refunds.
Winter Funk patrons, some who paid up to A$1,100 ($780), were informed after it began that Ronson would not appear because of “unforeseen logistical issues getting back to Perth from Byron Bay today.”
The man is set to appear Perth Magistrates Court Oct. 1.
