SECC Taps Laidlaw For Ops

Mark Laidlaw has been named director of operations at The Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre in Glasgow.

He will be responsible for all operational and logistical aspects and event delivery across the 64-acre S.E.C.C. campus, which includes the 13,000-capacity SSE Hydro and 3,000-capacity Clyde Auditorium.

Most recently Laidlaw was Director of Management Services at Scottish Rugby Union. Previously, he was responsible for the development of Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, which hosted some of the world’s largest music and sporting stars including Clyde Auditorium.

Laidlaw replaces Malcolm Close, who assumes the new role of projects director.
