The Rocket Summer Blasts Off In November

Ending an almost 18-month sabbatical from touring, The Rocket Summer climbs back onboard the tour bus in November for shows in several western states.

The Rocket Summer, aka Bryce Avary, hasn’t exactly spent the last year and a half sitting on a basement couch playing video games.  Avary has been making new music, some of which we’re sure to hear on the upcoming trek.

“We will be playing a few new songs from the upcoming album for sure, giving tastes of what’s to come,” Avary said.  “It won’t be out yet so we can’t overdo it, which is hard because naturally I can’t wait to play the new album live.”

Avary launched a PledgeMusic campaign for preordering his new disc, with options including exclusive T-shirts, signed colored vinyl, and spending some quality time with the artist in Los Angeles where you and your plus-one will join Avary for some coffee and record shopping.

Got a hefty amount of cash burning a hole in your pocket?  For $4,000 Avary will co-write and produce a song with you.  The $4,000 covers up to two days in a recording studio.

“It’s certainly been a long break from the road but literally just about the only thing I’ve been doing is making music constantly,” Avary said.  “I wrote about five album’s worth of material for this and recorded just about every day for a year.  I just couldn’t stop.”

The upcoming shows in the U.S. follow a one-off performance in London where Avary will appear at Alexandra Palace as part of “Vans Warped Tour U.K.” Oct. 18.  The run through the wild west begins Nov. 3 in in Southern California.  Here’s the routing:
