Kenny Chesney Sets First 2016 Stadium Date

After revealing earlier this week that Miranda Lambert, Sam Hunt and Old Dominion would be accompanying him on the road in 2016, Kenny Chesney has announced the first stop of the stadium tour.

The April 23 show takes place at the Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn, Ala. The gig is extra special because it’s in conjunction with the inaugural Music & Miracles Superfest, created and presented by the founders of the Chicken Salad Chick Foundation. Proceeds from the Superfest will go towards fighting cancer and feeding the hungry.

“There is something about college football that inspires me,” Chesney said. “There is so much heart, so much dignity to playing for the honor of your school. There are, obviously, a lot of good times and great memories made at the games, and those guys on the teams play all out in ways most people don’t realize. Every time I get to play somewhere with the kind of history Auburn has, it pushes me a little harder to really raise the bar. And the mission and heart behind Music & Miracles raises that bar higher still.”

Before we get to the ticket info, Chesney has something else he’d like to tell you.

“We are gearing up for a very big year next year,” Chesney said. “I can’t wait to have Miranda and Sam out with us … and there are more surprises for sure. Things people have been asking us for a long time; places we’ve not been – or places we just really love playing. But to be able to start talking about 2016 with something like the Jordan-Hare Stadium? I can’t think of a better way to kick-off what’s going to be an incredible year.”

A presale for No Shoes Nation members begins Sept. 23 at 12 p.m. CDT. The general onsale is scheduled Oct. 2. Visit and for more information.
