John Fogerty has a few October dates lined up featuring the Rock and Roll Hall Of Famer talking about his new memoir. Included is an appearance at a famous West Coast nightclub where the evening will be hosted by none other than George Thorogood.

Fogerty’s speaking engagements are in support of his new memoir, “Fortunate Son: My Life, My Music.” The account includes details about his before-the-fame days playing bars in California; Creedence Clearwater Revival’s rise to the top followed by his leaving the band; his retreat from music public life and his career as a solo artist who “finally found love.”

Fogerty should have plenty to say. The man who wrote, sang and produced such classics as “Fortunate Son,” “Born On The Bayou” and “Proud Mary” has seen his songs become interwoven into the fabric of America’s pop culture. One would have to walk many a mile to find a music fan who isn’t familiar with his work.

While some of Fogerty’s book stops are signing events, the artist has designated a few dates featuring him “in conversation.” Newly announced is Fogerty’s Oct. 12 appearance with Thorogood at West Hollywood’s Troubadour. Tickets are on sale now.
