Aussie Tours: Sufjan Stevens, Funeral For A Friend

Billions Australia has Sufjan Stevens at four theatres Feb. 22 to March 4. He is touring with a full band and immersive lighting production behind his Carrie & Lowell album.

UK’s Funeral For A Friend, which announced its split mid-September after 15 years, include Australia on their farewell Last Chance To Dance Tour. A team-up between Destroy All Lines, Chugg Entertainment and Raw Power Management will see the band play two shows in three cities Feb. 11-17.

Frontier Touring has the Thurston Moore Band at three theatres Dec. 5-10, with a Dec. 3 club stop in New Zealand.

After tours in 2014 and 2013 opening for Australian bands The Amity Affliction and Northlane, New York hardcore act Stray From The Path returns Jan. 7-17 for Live Nation to headline nine club shows.

Irish troubadour Foy Vance does two club dates in Sydney and Melbourne, Dec. 16-17, for Chugg Entertainment in between opening for Ed Sheeran’s arena run for Frontier Touring.

Abstract Entertainment has Sheena Easton at 10 clubs Nov. 20 to Dec. 5.

Live Nation announced two new shows for Chris Cornell’s eight-date, mostly sold-out solo acoustic run in November and December. There is a first show in Canberra’s Llewellyn Hall Dec. 3 and a third Sydney Opera House date Dec. 13.

A second Sydney concert is added for Burt Bacharach at the State Theatre Nov. 2, Mellen Events and Bluehawk Presents confirmed.
