Muse Sets Four U.S. Dates

The good news is Muse has revealed its first set of U.S. dates for its global “Drones Tour.”  The bad news is the British alt-rock band announced only four dates, with three being in California.  Meanwhile, fans in the 48 remaining states remain hopeful.

Returning to these shores in December, Muse has scheduled a gig in Portland, Ore., followed by stops in Oakland, San Diego and Los Angeles.  The band is touring in support of Drones, released in June.

“The Drones World Tour” features the band playing in the round for the very first time.  London’s Guardian praised a performance at Download Festival as “Thunderous and visually dazzling” and The New York Times described one of the band’s concerts as “an endless buildup, heading for one peak after another.”

Muse is promising that the four cities announced today is merely a preliminary list and that  more shows will be added shortly.  Meanwhile, feast your eyes on these engagements:

Dec. 13 – Portland, Ore., Moda Center
Dec. 15 – Oakland, Calif., Oracle Arena
Dec. 16 – San Diego, Calif., Valley View Casino Center
Dec. 18 – Los Angeles, Calif., Staples Center

Phantogram supports on all dates.
