The Arcs Announces First North American Tour

The Black Keys frontman Dan Auerbach has lined up a run of North American dates with his new band, The Arcs. The December outing follows a sold-out Sept. 26 gig at New York’s Bowery Ballroom and a fall European excursion.

The tour goes along with The Arcs’ debut album, Yours, Dreamily, which was released in September. As NPR puts it, the album “may have begun as a solo excursion, but the group has turned into a soulful explosion.”

Auerbach is joined by saxophonist/producer Leon Michels, multi-instrumentalist Richard Swift, drummer Homer Steinweiss and bassist Nick Movshon. Guitarist Kenny Vaughan and the all-female mariachi band Mariachi Flor de Toloache, which is made up of Julie Justine Acosta, Mireya Ramos and Shae Fiol, also appear on Yours, Dreamily.

Earlier this month The Arcs appeared at New York’s Housing Works Bookstore Café to show off new tunes from its debut for NPR Music. Check out the track “Put A Flower In Your Pocket” below.
