Vince Gill & Lyle Lovett Team For ‘Songs And Stories’

The headline says it all as Vince Gill and Lyle Lovett plan a co-headlining run through 13 cities.  Destinations for the February-March adventure include Atlanta, Key West, Jacksonville and Birmingham.

The winter run looks like a golf lover’s dream vacation.  With stops in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and Florida, the “Songs And Stories” tour will mostly stay south of the snowline and hit towns often targeted by folks looking for a little winter relief.

This isn’t the first time Gill and Lovett have joined forces for a road trip.  The artists played a series of dates together earlier this year that were as successful artistically as they were at the box office.

The concerts will showcase each artist performing solo as well as Gill and Lovett making music together.  With no planned setlist, the evenings are expected to be spontaneous, off-the-cuff fun.

“For a night like this, there is no plan,” Gill said.  “I know Lyle won’t have a plan, and I won’t either.  What he plays will inspire me, and probably vice versa.  It’ll be like playing ping pong.  Whatever song he chooses to sing will inspire the next song that comes out of me.”
