Bellamy Brothers Set Second Leg

Countries may topple, the economy might plummet and chances are your favorite TV show will soon be canceled.  But you can always depend on the Bellamy Brothers and the duo’s four decades of making music.

David and Howard Bellamy shook up the charts with their 1976 hit single, “Let Your Love Flow,” and kept the good times rollin’ with songs such as “If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body Would You Hold It Against Me,” “Sugar Daddy” and  “Do You Love As Good As You Look.”

New in stores is Bellamy Brothers: 40 Years, a two-disc set filled with 20 rerecorded versions of some of signature tunes as well as 20 new songs.

Long known for their charitable efforts, the Bellamy Brothers have teamed with Susan G. Komen in the latter’s quest to wipe out breast cancer.   Along with issuing a new music video for “Let Your Love Flow,” the brothers will donate $1 of every U.S. iTunes download of their new 40 Years album to Susan G. Komen to help aid breast cancer research, education and community outreach programs.

This week you’ll find the Bellamy Brothers in the final nights a European tour that includes stops in Norway and Switzerland.  The North America trek resumes a gig at the Austin County Fair in Bellville, Texas, Oct. 9.
