The King of Country will be one of the first entertainers to play the state-of-the-art, 20,000-seat Las Vegas Arena, which opens in spring 2016.

After taking the stage April 22-23 and Sept. 9-10, Strait returns to Sin City Dec. 2-3. Kacey Musgraves opens all dates.

A website set up for the exclusive engagement, StraitToVegas.com, says LVA is “the only place to see George Strait perform.” Last year Strait wrapped his touring career with one final trek – “The Cowboy Rides Away.”

“I said all along I wasn’t going to tour anymore, but I also said that I wasn’t retiring by any means and I still wanted to do some dates,” Strait says. “I’m very excited to be coming back out and playing for the fans out there. I’m looking forward to it so much, singing those songs that I love so much and haven’t done in a while. I’m really, really looking forward to being able to play in the new Las Vegas Arena. I hear it’s just unbelievable. I can’t wait.”

Presale tickets are available now for American Express card members. General onsales for all six dates begin Friday, Oct. 2 at 10 a.m. PDT. Visit StraitToVegas.com for more information.
