Cleveland’s International Exposition Center, known as the I-X Center, has announced the addition of a large-scale, flexible venue that can change from a 3,500-capacity theatre to a 7,000-capacity arena with moveable walls, seating and staging.

The addition will feature a 300’ x 400’ venue that can scale up in capacity from 3,500 to 7,000 with acoustic draping, a vertical drape canopy and mass loaded sound panels that can be installed and dismantled via truss and motors.

“I-X Center’s new transitional Arena/Theater is a wonderful addition to the facility that already hosts large trade and consumer shows, as well as, our growing portfolio of self-produced events,” said Jeremy Levine, the venue’s VP of business development. “We’re extremely excited with the capability to add live concerts, family shows, theatrical productions and corporate events to our calendar.”

I-X Center has engaged the services of VC Strategic Partners, a division of Venue Coalition, to develop live performance content. The venue will be available beginning in the spring of 2016.
