Bryan Adams Takes ‘Get Up’ To Australia

Bryan Adams will rock Australia in March when he travels south of the Equator in support of his new “Get Up” album.  Plans include arena shows in Sydney and Melbourne and four “A Day On The Green” gigs.

It’s almost as if the land of Foster’s and shrimp on the barbie has dedicated the upcoming weekend to Adams.  With his new album, Get Up, being released Down Under Oct. 2, Adams will play the Australia Football Finals in Melbourne, Oct. 3 – headlining the Toyota AFL Grand Final pre-game show and the post-match Premiership Party at the MCG Stadium that also includes Ellie Goulding on the lineup.

The Jeff Lynne-produced Get Up arrives in the U.S. Oct. 16.  The album includes nine new songs and four acoustic versions.

“There is a carefree feeling about this album, and in many ways it is the album I wish I’d been able to make 25 years ago,” Adams said.

Turns out Adams as more in store for his Aussie fans.  The man behind such hits as “Cuts Like A Knife,” “Summer Of 69” and “Run To You” will return in March and play four “A Day On The Green” shows, where his special guests will be Australia’s  Baby Animals and The Superjesus.
