Happy Holidays From The Roots

The Roots keep the festivities going past Christmas with a short-but-sweet holiday tour that kicks off Dec. 26 and runs through Jan. 2. The outing includes a stop in Atlantic City with special guest Common.

Jimmy Fallon’s fabulous house band announced the outing this week via OkayPlayer.com, which ?uestlove launched in 1999 as the “original progressive urban music site.”

Along with AC, the holiday tour is headed to Huntington, N.Y.; Silver Spring, Md.; and Boston. Here’s the plan:

Dec. 26 – Huntington, N.Y., The Paramount           
Dec. 27 – Atlantic City, N.J., Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa / Event Ctr.
Dec. 29 – Silver Spring, Md., The Fillmore Silver Spring     
Jan. 2 – Boston, Mass., House Of Blues Boston

Tickets for Silver Spring, Md., are on sale now. Presales for select dates begin Wednesday, Oct. 9. General onsales for Atlantic City and Boston begin Friday, Oct. 9. Huntington’s general onsale is Saturday.
