LN Extends NSW Health Deal
The initial one-year partnership saw the Play Safe campaign target 15- to 29-year-olds to regularly test for sexually transmissible infections (STIs).
The message was activated at Live Nation concerts as well as through online platforms and ticketing promotions. Dr. Chris Bourne, head of the NSW Sexually Transmissible Infections Programs Unit, said the partnership had successfully “given us a presence at live music concerts to reach audiences with the ‘Play Safe’ messages.”
He said the 15-29 demographic has the highest rates of STIs in NSW, “with more than 16,500 chlamydia notifications in the last year.”
Michael Coppel, Melbourne-based president and CEO of Live Nation Australia and New Zealand, said: “We are very pleased to be extending our partnership with NSW Health and … look forward to further evolving our partnership to provide NSW Health with more targeted opportunities.”
