Queensrÿche Books 2016 Headline Tour

After joining Scorpions on the road in September and October, Queensrÿche has planned its own headline tour. The heavy metal band is promising to “kick off the new year with a massive bang.” It all starts Jan. 7 in San Jose, Calif.

Queensrÿche released Condition Hüman earlier this month – the band’s 14th overall studio album and the group’s second release with vocalist Todd La Torre. Loudwire declares that Queensrÿche went back to its roots with the LP.

“The effort harkens back to earlier Queensrÿche albums with its heavy progressive sounds chock full of time signature shifts, blazing guitar work, digital sound effects and dialogue sprinkled throughout, as well as a focus on social commentary in the lyrics,” Loudwire writes in its review.

The online magazine adds, “Old school fans will revel in heavy tracks like ‘Guardian,’ ‘Hellfire,’ ‘Hourglass,’ ‘Eye9,’ and the epic ‘Condition Human.’”
