Arena began her career as an 8-year old on the TV variety show “Young Talent Time.” Developing into an R&B / pop singer, she has sold 10 million albums worldwide and moves between Melbourne, London and Paris.

The Top 5 success of her French-language albums – with combined sales of 5 million – saw her awarded the Knighthood of the Order of National Merit in 2009 for her contributions to French culture. Arena, who has won six ARIA awards and became the first woman to win an ARIA album of the year in 1995, said,

“What a thrill to receive this recognition for what has been an incredible journey so far. I look forward to sharing this milestone with my peers along with the Australian public.”

To coincide with her induction, the inaugural ARIA Hall Of Fame Walk will be on display at The Star Nov. 5-28. The public can see displays featuring past inductees including AC/DC (1988), INXS (2001), and Kylie Minogue (2011).
