Rolling Stones’ Latin America Tour Coming Together

We’re getting closer to seeing a full-fledged 2016 Latin America tour from The Rolling Stones. In addition to a handful of dates booked in Buenos Aires, Argentina, reports indicate the outing will include gigs in Mexico and Peru.

During a Q&A in September Keith Richards said the band was planning to record a new album, following a tour of South America in early 2016, according to the Associated Press.

Now the dates are slowly starting to roll in. Estadio Unico Cidudad De La Plata in Buenos Aires announced a few weeks ago that the venue would host the Stones Feb. 7, 10 and 13.

El Comercio reports that Kandavu Productions will announce details about The Rolling Stones’ first-ever concert in Peru during a press conference on Nov. 5.

Media outlets in Mexico are also buzzing about The Rolling Stones. Alejandro Soberon, CEO for Mexican entertainment and media company Grupo CIE, revealed in a radio interview with Adela Micha that the Stones will play Mexico City in March, according to Milenio. More information, including a specific venue and date, is yet to come. The Mexican daily newspaper notes that a free concert in Havana, Cuba, is also being planned in 2016.
