Former CenturyLink Employee Arrested Over Ticket Scam

A woman accused of selling roughly 200 fraudulent tickets for two recent Taylor Swift concerts at  in Omaha, Neb., was booked by police after turning herself in Nov. 4.

Samantha Graeve, a former employee for the Metropolitan Entertainment and Convention Authority that runs the facility, previously worked as the premium seating manager at the building, according to the Omaha World-Herald.

She stopped working for MECA earlier this year. Graeve was charged with felony theft by deception after reportedly selling about $25,000 worth of fraudulent tickets for the shows.

Members of the MECA board told the paper the scam apparently began in January but only came to light a day before Swift’s shows. The board has voted to spend about $25,000 to reimburse victims who purchased the fraudulent tickets.

One fan who reported paying Graeve for tickets but never received them will not be reimbursed by MECA but plans to sue Graeve in small claims court, the World-Herald said.
