Mariah Carey Adds Christmas Shows

If the only thing you’re wishing for this holiday season is more chances to see Mariah Carey in New York, then you are in luck. Because of high demand, the diva has added a handful of dates to her second annual “All I Want For Christmas Is You” concert series.

Carey will get the holidays started by appearing at Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City Nov. 26. She returns to the Big Apple to launch her Christmas residency at The Beacon Theatre Dec. 8. Previously announced gigs are scheduled Dec. 9, 14-15 & 17.

The new dates take place Dec. 11-12 & 18.

It’s a safe bet that Carey will perform her 1994 hit “All I want For Christmas Is You.” It will be easy to fill the rest of the setlist with tunes from her two holiday releases – 1994’s
Merry Christmas and 2010’s Merry Christmas II You, which feature classic tunes like “O Holy Night,” “The First Noel,” “Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town” and “Silent Night.”

Carey is once again hosting a members-only presale for her official fan community, Honey B. Fly. The presale for the new dates starts Nov. 9 at 10 a.m. EST via MariahCarey.com. Legacy members get first access to tickets and official VIP packages.

A presale for Chase credit or debit card holders begins Nov. 11 at 10 a.m. EST. Tickets will be available to the general public Nov. 14 at 10 a.m. EST. Head over to Mariah’s official website for more information.
