Sting, Katy Perry Perform At David Lynch Foundation Concert

They and Jerry Seinfeld were featured performers Wednesday at “Change Begins Within,” a Carnegie Hall event presented by the David Lynch Foundation.
Lynch is an advocate for Transcendental Meditation, popularized by the Beatles in the 1960s and now used for treating post-traumatic stress, depression and other afflictions. The benefit raised money to offer meditation for 10,000 at-risk New Yorkers.
Sting looked relaxed and happy in a dark blazer and an open blue shirt as he sang “Fields of Gold” and other songs.

Perry wore a peach-colored gown. Between performances of “Teenage Dream,” ‘‘Firework” and other favorites she preached the virtues of Transcendental Meditation, which she says has changed her life.
