TCU Arena Opening Delayed
Texas Christian University’s new basketball arena will not open on time for the start of the men’s and women’s basketball seasons.

Weather and sequencing issues are delaying the opening of the Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena in Fort Worth.
Chancellor Victor Boschini told the university’s TCU360 the new basketball arena is to be completed by Dec. 14 and the grand opening tentatively scheduled for Dec. 15. Construction of Schollmaier Arena was expected to be finished in October, but heavy rains have been a cause for concern since early this summer.
