Not only is Billy Gibbons’ debut solo album out today, but we’ve also got rescheduled dates for his tour. The ZZ Top guitarist/vocalist will be coming your way before you know it.

The LP – Perfectamundo – features Gibbons and a group of handpicked musicians he’s calling The BFG’s. Gibbons was inspired to create Perfectamundo after an invitation from musical collaborator Martin “G.G.” Guigui to perform at last year’s Havana Jazz Festival led him to explore Cuban music. The ZZ Top guitarist didn’t up taking the stage at the festival, but he’ll be at the 2015 edition in December.

“Deep at the core of everything we do, either as ZZ Top or with the Perfectamundo aggregation, is the blues,” Gibbons told Rolling Stone. “That’s the diamond and we found a way to put it into a new, Afro-Cuban setting. It really does come from the same place.  The prospect of taking it to Cuba in December is especially exciting should all things work out.  Talk about wish fulfillment.”

The tour was supposed to kick off Nov. 10 in Atlanta, but in October an updated scheduled was posted on his Facebook page that moved the first date to Nov. 27 in Fort Lauderdale. No explanation was given.
