Celine Dion Announces ‘Special Limited Engagement’ In Canada

In August Celine Dion resumed her Las Vegas residency after taking a year off to spend time with her children and ailing husband. Now she’s announced her first tour dates outside Vegas since 2013 with a return to her native province of Quebec.

The “special limited engagement” is scheduled at Montreal’s Bell Centre July 31, Aug. 1 & 4-5 and Centre Videotron in Quebec City Aug. 20-21.

The excursion marks her first gigs at the Bell Centre in seven years. In 2012 she appeared at Montreal’s Metropolis to take part in a benefit concert for the family of Denis Blanchette.

The last time she played Quebec City, more than 40,000 fans filled the Plains of Abraham venue to see the award-winning star. The July 2013 concert was filmed for her live album Céline une seule fois / Live 2013.

Dion still has plenty of Las Vegas residency dates lined up. Next year she’ll mark her 1,000 performance at The Colosseum At Caesars Palace. Shows through June 2016 are on sale now.

A TeamCeline presale for the Canada dates begins Nov. 10 at 10 a.m. General onsales for all six dates are scheduled Nov. 13 at 12 p.m. Visit CelineDion.com for more information.
