Guster Books January/February Outing

Guster has more U.S. dates to take care of. Following November’s headline tour, the group returns to stages across the States in January. The early 2016 trip features a special set of gigs featuring two of its albums performed in their entirety.

The Boston-based alternative rock band is currently on the road with local college and high school acts that were handpicked by Guster. The group announce the opportunity this summer, saying it wanted to pay-it-forward to other acts. Back in the day, “a college band named Gus” got the chance to support Jackopierce, Ruster Root and Live.

Guster ended up receiving more than 400 submissions.

“We were floored by the songwriting and commitment these bands are showing at such a young age,” drummer Brian Rosenworcel said. “And we take is as a major compliment that bands ranging from folk to emo to rap want to share a stage with Guster. Hard choices!”

Tonight’s show in Asheville, N.C., features From Bears. Additional support acts include Porky’s Groove Machine, The Bends, and King Median.
