The Purple One goes solo with dates in Glasgow, London and Birmingham. Tickets for “Prince Spotlight: Piano & A Microphone” go on sale later this week.

Prince originally announced his solo intentions during an affair at Paisley Park over the weekend.

“Why do this now?” Prince said, according to El País. “For starters it is a challenge. I don’t want to get bad reviews, but I don’t want to go back and do what I’m sure works because I’ve done it for 30 years. Let’s try new things. With the piano it’s more naked, more pure. You can see exactly what there is.”

Not only does Prince have dates, but the Daily Record reports that there will be two shows per venue – an afternoon matinee followed by an evening performance.

Here’s the plan:

Nov. 27 – Glasgow, Scotland, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall
Nov. 29 – London, England, Theatre Royal Drury Lane
Dec. 1 – Birmingham, England, Symphony Hall
