Dixie Chicks Are Back

Huge news from the Dixie Chicks’ camp – the Grammy-winning country band just announced its first North American headline tour in 10 years.

Yes, believe it or not it’s been a whole decade since Dixie Chicks headlined U.S. venues from coast to coast. The band supported the Eagles on a run of dates in 2010 and played a few one-off appearances in the last few years, but hasn’t toured the U.S. with its name on the top of the ticket since 2006.

“Just when you thought you were safe, America – we’re back!” Natalie Maines declared in a video announcing the 2016 excursion. Emily Robison added, “There’s no telling what will happen this time.”

Maines, Robison and Martie Maguire are making up for lost time by playing more than 40 dates between June and October. The outing kicks off June 1 in Cincinnati, following a previously announced European excursion.
