The Joke’s On Moontower Comedy & Oddity Fest

Three comedy-packed April days of grins, giggles, guffaws and belly laughs await you at the Moontower Comedy & Oddity Festival in Austin, Texas. The early lineup announcement has Martin Short topping a list that includes writer/film director Kevin Smith, Maria Bamford and Ahmed Bharoocha.

There will be a lot to laugh at when Moontower yuks up Austin April 20-23.  Produced by the Paramount Theatre and taking place in various venues, the festival also includes Joe DeRosa, Debra DiGiovanni, Sean Donnelly, Jo Firestone, Goddamn Comedy Jam, Jesse Joyce, and many, many others.

Kevin Smith will present the special badge-only live taping of the “Jay and Silent Bob Get Old” podcast with Jason Mewes (Jay).  Other events include Anjelah Johnson presenting “Bon Qui Qui’s Gold Plated Dreams Tour” featuring Group 1 Crew; Jim Norton, co-host of  SiriusXM’s “Opie with Jim Norton,” doing standup; and comedy lounge act The Lampshades, whose membership includes Kate Flannery from “The Office” and Scott Robinson.  Returning comics include The Sklar Brothers include Ron Funches of NBC’s “Undateable Live,” Andy Kindler, James Adomian and more.
