WOMAD NZ Unveils Full Lineup

Hot on the heels of the first announcement that Ladysmith Black Mambazo and John Grant will headline , 25 more acts were added to the March 18-20 event at TSB Bowl of Brooklands in Taranaki.

They included Calexico, Seun Kuti & Egypt 80, The Jerry Cans, 47Soul, Asia Minor Trio, Orange Blossom, Tulegur, DakhaBrakha, Diego El Cigala, Edmar Casteneda Trio, Spiro, and Ester Rada. New Zealand acts include Bic Runga, Julia Deans, Pass the Gat, Tami Neilson, Te Kapa Haka o Te Whanau a Apanui, Thomas Oliver and Tiny Ruins.

An additional feature of the New Zealand festival is Nova Energy Taste The World, where musicians exchange instruments for cooking utensils, whipping up meals under the watchful eye of New Zealand celebrity chef Jax Hamilton.

Held for the 12th time next year, the 2015 edition drew a sellout 22,000 fans, with 5,000 campers attending to see 300 acts representing 22 countries.
