Andrew Bird’s Global Adventures

Andrew Bird begins his 2016 world tour with a four-city run across The Netherlands in late February and a U.S./Canada journey that kicks off during the last week of March. He returns to Europe in late April for gigs booked through early May.  General onsales start later this week.

But before we even get into Bird’s 2016 plans, we need to mention that the multi-instrumentalist/singer/songwriter has four sold-out “Gezelligheid” shows at Chicago’s 4th Presbyterian Church, Dec. 7-10.

One dollar for every ticket sold for the spring leg of the tour will be given to organizations working to end gun violence.  All proceeds from Bird’s Dec. 11 show at The Hideout in Chicago benefit Foundation Of Music and will fund private lessons for a student at ChiArts.

Bird’s Euro agenda includes the Cross-Linx Festivals where he’ll appear in a supergroup along with Wilco drummer Glenn Kotche and Crowded House frontman Neil Finn.
