Sinead O’Connor Reportedly Receiving Medical Assistance Following Suicidal Post

Sinead O’Connor has been admitted to the hospital after posting a message on Facebook Sunday afternoon confessing that she had “taken an overdose” at a hotel in Ireland.

The Irish singer’s apparent suicide note wrote called out her husband, family members and former boyfriends for putting her through “appalling cruelty” during the past week.

“This week has broken me,” O’Connor wrote. “The withholding of my babies from me without any sound reason by their fathers, Frank and Donal, and by Jake and the rest of my family, is a horrific set of betrayals. And has been going on since I had my surgery. The last two nights finished me off. I have taken an overdose. There is no other way to get respect. I am not at home, I’m at a hotel, somewhere in ireland, under another name.”

She added, “I’m invisible. I don’t matter a shred to anyone. No one has come near me. I’ve died a million times already with the pain of it. So yeah.. Strangers like me.. But my family don’t value me at all. They wouldn’t know if I was dead until weeks from now if I wasn’t fucking informing them now. well done guys, you’ve finally got rid of me.”

The Irish Examiner reported Sunday around 6 p.m. that O’Connor had been located “safe and sound,” according to the Gardai (the police force of Ireland) at Pearse St. Station. The publication added that the singer is receiving medical assistance.

O’Connor’s suicidal Facebook post was one of several she posted on the social media site over the past few days in which she detailed her issues with her family members, centered around the whereabouts of her son Shane and her concern for the 12-year-old’s safety and mental health.

One post claimed she was looking for a new job because she was done with her music career.

“Music is over for me. Music did this. Rendered me invisible even unto my children. Murdered my soul. Im never going back to music. But Im a worker and I wanna graft. Kitchen jobs, waitressing.. anything at all.. if its sociable.. and people loving.. I’m there.”

O’Connor’s most recent Facebook post, which went online Monday, criticizes her family and the fathers of her children for visiting her in the hospital while she was unconscious.

“Jake, Roisin, Jr., frank, Donal, Eimear, I never wanna see you again. You stole my sons from me. Then you had hypocrisy to come to hospital and then not be here when I wake and not pick up phone? I’m shit to you. You’re dead to me. You killed your mother. You stole my sons. You left me alone for twelve weeks! Why did I have to hear it was your hypocritical asses here while I was unconscious?? And now you’re Gone and not picking up phone? You are child stealing murderers, I never want to see or hear from any of you again. Why were you here when you’re the ones who put me here???? And where the fuck are you now??? Murderers. Liars. Hypocrites. All of you. You caused this.”

Jake and Roisin are her children. Frank refers to American surgeon and businessman Frank Bonadio, with whom she had a son named Yeshua, according to the Daily Mail. The publication notes that Irish folk instrumentalist Donal Lunny is the father of O’Connor’s son Shane. Eimear is reportedly O’Connor’s sister.

O’Connor married drug counselor Barry Herridge in 2011. The singer referenced him in Sunday’s Facebook post, saying, “Barry … You’re the only one who knows me or the truth. Please stand for me and tell it.”
