Wepromote: Swiss Promoters Join Forces

Gadget, Incognito Productions, wildpony, OpenAir St. Gallen and SummerDays Festival, who – according to their own accounts – were responsible for 250 events with 300,000 tickets sold in the last year, are pooling their resources under a new banner.
L-R: Martin Zahner, Eric Kramer, Christof Huber, Philippe Cornu, Reto Lazzarotto, Stefan Wyss, Pascal Rötheli, Cyrill Stadler.

Their aim is to make the most of the synergies between the individual members and “bring their shared know-how to existing and new projects,” as stated on wepromote’s website.

“Joint music and concert projects” will be part of the agenda, as well as promoting “new talents from home and abroad through wepromote channels” in a sustainable manner. Wepromote services not only include “live events, but also artist bookings, event concepts, event consulting, artist management, marketing and communications consulting and also productions of third-party events.”

The organization’s chairman, Christof Huber, adds, “With the consolidation of our companies, we are also aiming to preserve our independence as Swiss promoters.” Operationally all five companies will continue to function under their own name and in their established structures.

Wepromote will also organize events in collaboration with Maag Music and the Swiss Arts AG, “including the Electrofestival Digital Maag in Zurich.” Wepromote will be responsible for bookings at Gurten Festival, the Bierhübeli in Bern and Stars in Town Schaffhausen, as well as co-promote concerts at Basel’s famous Volkshaus.
