Elton John performed for a relatively small number of fans Nov. 27 when he visited South Korea on his current World Tour.

The Understage venue in Itaewon holds just 500 people. The concert was part of a series sponsored by Hyundai Card, a powerful force in Korea’s concert world.

The company has reported that the Understage show was the only one on John’s tour that took place in such a small venue. A representative of Hyundai Card told the Korea Herald that the show was “unprecedented,” and that except for when he was first starting out, “John has very rarely played such a small show.”
