Pharrell Scammer To Plead Guilty

A man charged in scamming a South Korean steel company out of $375,000 to book a fake Pharrell concert was scheduled to plead guilty in court at press time.

Sigismond Segbefia was arrested on charges of fraud and identity theft in April. According to the FBI, the Maryland man, who is a native of Ghana, used a shell company dubbed Eastern Stars to legitimize his concert industry claims.

Segbefia has also been charged with stealing a Pennsylvania postal worker’s identity to scam women he met online out of more than $445,000.
