Sheeran Sets Record At Perth Stadium

Ed Sheeran, touring Australia on his second visit in 2015, set an attendance record at Perth’s

, which were a few hundred shy of that number.

David Etherton, CEO of VenuesWest which owns the stadium on behalf of the West Australian government, said, “Not since the Foo Fighters back in March have this many patrons attended nib Stadium and I commend this great effort to all the floor staff, security, the venue response team and event and food staff for making it a great success.”

Both the Sheeran and Foo Fighters tours were through Frontier Touring. In April Sheeran played two sold-out shows in the city at Perth Arena as part of 17 full-capacity arena dates across Australia and New Zealand. The Perth Arena is also one of nine other venues operated by VenuesWest.
