Chris Cornell’s “Higher Truth” extends into July

Soundgarden and former Audioslave frontman Chris Cornell announced the second leg of his North American tour today. The tour will begin in Florida on June 16 and will end in Canada on July 26.

The tour is in promotion of Cornell’s 2015 album Higher Truth. Cornell begins touring Europe in Iceland on March 23 and then will perform several shows in Israel before ending his trip of the continent in Bulgaria May 10.

Cornell is scheduled to play 28 shows in 48 days in Europe and then continue into 28 shows in 42 days in North America.

Since Soundgarden’s rise to prominence in the early 1990s, Cornell’s unique range, powerful vocals, and provocative songwriting have been a staple of rock music for over 25 years. His solo releases include 1999’s Euphoria Morning, 2009’s Scream and 2015’s Higher Truth.
