Billy Joel Fills His 2016 Garden Calendar
Billy Joel sets a December evening for residency show No. 36 in his residency at New York’s Madison Square Garden. Presales and onsales begin next week. But you better be on your toes – all of Joel’s previously announced MSG residency shows resulted in sellouts.

When Joel’s Garden residency was first announced in late 2013, a posting on his website stated he would play at least one show a month at the venue “as long as there is demand.” Not only has demand never wavered but Joel ended up snagging the record for the most shows at the Garden by a single artist when last year’s July 1 concert surpassed Elton John’s record-setting 64 MSG headlining gigs.
The Piano Man is the Garden’s first-ever and only music franchise and is considered a tenant of the building much the same way NBA’s New York Knicks and NHL’s Rangers are.
Joel’s newest addition to his residency is set for Dec. 17.
