Lake Street Dive Keeps Serving Up Shows

Lake Street Dive has filled in more spots on its tour schedule in between its spring excursion and previously announced September support dates with Dave Matthews Band.

The members of the indie/pop band – singer Rachael Price, guitarist/trumpeter Michael “McDuck” Olson, bassist Bridget Kearney and drummer Michael Calabrese – will be saddling up their ponies for a nice stretch of shows in June from the East Coast to Texas. The new dates include May 31 in Wilmington, Del., along with June gigs in Charleston, S.C.; Covington, Ky.; Athens, Ga.; New Orleans and Houston.

Lake Street Dive is supporting its fourth studio album, Side Pony, which was released in February. Rolling Stone named the LP one of the most anticipated albums of 2016. The magazine’s review declares, “Bravo to them, and double for Price’s spectacularly husky alto, still the keystone of a young band steeped in Motown grooves, Muscle Shoals soul, Beatles melodies, Beach Boys harmonies, and pop divas from Dusty Springfield to Amy Winehouse to Adele.” As NPR says, “2016 will be the year Lake Street Dive becomes a household name.”
