The award ceremony also serves as opening event for this year’s Prolight + Sound (April 5-8) production conference and Musikmesse Frankfurt (April 7-10), taking place in the same building.

To guarantee a low carbon footprint, LEA organizers are working with First Climate going forward. Besides protecting the environment, ecological measures would also lead to economic savings, LEA-head Prof. Jens Michow said in a statement.

Nominees include AC/DC, Deichkind, and Helene Fischer (arena/stadium tour); BB Promotion “The Art of Entertainment,” Mannheim, Bernd Aust KulturManagement, Dresden and Handwerker Promotion, and Unna (best local promoter); and A Summer’s Tale, Luhmühlen – FKP Scorpio Konzertproduktionen, Parookaville, Weeze – Parookaville Gesellschaft, and Rock in Vienna, Donauinsel Wien – Blue Moon Entertainment (best festival, focus on new production).
