BVB Frontman Launches Solo Album, Tour
The tour will begin in May and run through July, stretching from coast to coast with one show in Canada. These shows will be promoting Black’s upcoming solo album The Shadow Side, which can be pre-ordered now. He will be touring Europe earlier in May, prior to the North American tour.
While music from the album is still being closely guarded, the first single, “We Don’t Have To Dance”, has Black’s trademark dark (and some would say depressing) lyrics over a dance-centric beat. Other songs on the album will feature Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump and Good Charlotte’s Joel Madden.
Black, whose has performed under the name Andy Biersack with BVB, released a solo single in 2014, but has’t recorded an album or toured as a solo act. BVB has amassed a huge international following over the years after breaking through into mainstream success in 2011, and has received numerous accolades for its music. They are also known for their look and theatrics, incorporating many elements from ‘80s glam rockers, although the band’s music is derived from more metalcore and hard rock influences.
