Chief Keef Ordered To Pay Promoter

An Illinois judge has ordered Chief Keef and his agent to pay a concert promoter more than $82,000 because the Chicago rapper bailed on a scheduled gig at an Alabama fraternity house last year.

The rapper, whose real name is Keith Cozart, was scheduled to perform April 25 at the Sigma Phi Epsilon house at Auburn University.

When Chief Keef was a no-show, the promoter, The Booking Collective, sued him and his Chicago agent, Yung Fly Entertainment, in August for more than $75,000 for breach of contract, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Under the agreement, Chief Keef’s team was to be paid $22,000 for the show – a $12,000 deposit to the rapper’s agent, which the promoter said it paid, and a $10,000 fee to the rapper’s manager upon his arrival at Auburn.

The promoter told the paper it spent about $5,365 to prepare for the event.

The Tribune also reports Chief Keef’s contract included roundtrip, nonstop coach flights and five-star accommodations for himself and six members of his entourage; four Red Bull energy drinks; one bottle of Remy Martin VSOP cognac; two bottles of C?roc vodka; two bottles of Moet Rose champagne; 50 chicken wings and fingers and French fries with ranch, bleu cheese, honey mustard and barbecue sauce and other items.
