Aragon Death Lawsuit
Live Nation and Aragon Ballroom are being sued for alleged negligence by the mother of a concertgoer who died in May after a fall at the Chicago venue.
Kirchhoff fell 4 feet unto the rods, suffering fatal puncture wounds, the lawsuit claims.
The plaintiff, Denise Kirchhoff, wants compensation of $50,000 plus court costs from the defendants whom she claims are responsible for failing to check the area to identify a safety hazard and failing to post signs or warnings of danger, according to the Cook County Record.
“We extend our deepest sympathies to the family of Kyle Kirchhoff who died in an incident at the Aragon Ballroom in May 2015,” Live Nation said in a statement. Aragon reps was unavailable for comment at press time.
