Joe Jackson To Fast Forward Through North America

Joe Jackson is once again showcasing his jazz-pop stylings in a tour to promote his newest album Fast Forward.

Jackson will be bringing along bassist Graham MabyTeddy Kumpel on guitar and Doug Yowell for the drums.

The tour will begin on June 16 and will run through July 15. These shows will take Jackson and his bandmates from Arizona and California up into British Columbia, across the continent to Ottawa and over to the East Coast and Ohio.

Fast Forward was recorded in four different cities with four different sets of musicians and features Jackson’s unique brand of upbeat songwriting with poignant and penetrating lyrics.

Jackson released his first album Look Sharp in 1979 with Joe Jackson Band, and featured punk, ska and pop influences. As his career progressed, he began incorporating more blues, classical, swing and jazz influences and his music has reflected these styles. He won his first Grammy for 1999’s Symphony No. 1 and has built a loyal audience while touring over his career.
