Jamrock Reggae Cruise Sets Sail

Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley finalizes the artist lineup for the third annual Jamrock Cruise. Royal Caribbean Independence of the Seas departs mid-November from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. making stops in Montego Bay, Ocho Rios and Jamaica.

For reggae music fans this is a rare opportunity to see and hear some of reggae’s top artists who aren’t able to travel and perform in the United States. This year’s lineup, in addition to Damian Marley, includes

Damian “Jr Gong” Marley, the youngest son of reggae legend Bob Marley, made his own music history by becoming the first ever reggae artist to win a Grammy outside of the reggae category, taking home an award for “Best Urban/Alternative” performance for his single “Welcome To Jamrock.” He and his brothers Stephen and Julian work under their Ghetto Youths International Label using their talent and experience to discover and develop artists by creating new and different styles of music.
