The band’s second full length effort, appropriately called 2, lands in stores May 20.  Fans preordering the digital or vinyl format via MudCrutchMusic.com will receive downloads of three tracks, including the first single “Trailer.”

The Mudcrutch story goes back to 1970 when Petty and Tom Leadon formed the group along with Campbell, Randall Marsh and Jim Lenehan.  The band signed with Shelter Records and released the single “Depot Street” in 1975, but broke up later that year.

Mudcrutch returned with a slightly different lineup when the band released an album and played a series of dates on the West Coast in 2008.  The upcoming tour is the band’s first-ever national outing.
