Journey & Santana Add West Coast Date

Three shows on the East Coast compared to only one in San Francisco just doesn’t seem fair to  California fans. So Journey and Santana are balancing the bill with a newly added Los Angeles-area date in August.

The recently announced extravaganza takes place at the Forum in Inglewood, Calif., Aug. 28.

The acts have intertwined throughout the decades with former Santana members Gregg Rolie and Neil Schon co-founding Journey in the ‘70s. Guitarist Schon will be playing double-duty for the shows which begin in New York City April 13 at Madison Square Garden.

Recently Rolie and Schon took time in the studio with Santana’s revered early ‘70s lineup of Carlos Santana, Michael Carabello and Michael Shrieves. The group recorded, for the first time in 45 years, its latest album Santana IV that drops April 15.

Following New York the team performs in Uncasville, Conn., at Mohegan Sun Arena April 15, and in Allentown, Pa., at PPL Center April 16.

The tour de force will also make an appearance with Steve Miller Band and The Doobie Brothers on Sept. 4 at AT&T Park in San Francisco, Calif.

General onsales for the Forum show begin April 2 at 10 a.m. Visit JourneyMusic.com and Santana.com for more information.
