T-Mobile Arena To Open

The new, 20,000-capacity T-Mobile Arena on the Las Vegas Strip adjacent to MGM Resorts International’s The Park is on track to open April 6.

The Park, a dining and entertainment district with three stages for live performances, is a gathering place on the Strip’s west side connecting New York-New York and Monte Carlo resorts as well as the arena, which opens with a concert by The Killers and Wayne Newton.

The arena, a joint venture between MGM Resorts and AEG, has eight suites on the floor, each featuring two flat-screen monitors, one-way glass windows, a bar, couches and seating for 16. There’s also 44 luxury suites surrounding the lower level of seats that can accommodate 12 to 16 fans with full bars and open seating to the arena, according to the Las Vegas Sun.

Four locker rooms were built to accommodate NBA and NHL teams and a rectangular LED video screen in the center of the arena is 26 feet wide and 20 feet high. The exterior of the arena also has an LED wall designed to reflect the buildings on the Strip, the Sun said.
